Safety and reliability

To ensure a safe and reliable product, our operator panels feature numerous components and solutions that protect it - and your application – from e.g. electrical power surges and other external interferences.

The power supply circuit is protected against electrical surges as well as connection errors by a monitoring circuit which guarantees the correct voltage and polarity. Should the wrong voltage be connected - for example 230 VAC instead of 24 VDC – the panel will neither be damaged, nor will it try to power up until the voltage is changed to 24 VDC.

The aluminum casing provides protection against general outside interference, while transorbers and ferrites on e.g. the serial ports protect the panel in case of power surges, high frequency noise and tension peaks in the electrical system, rendering our panels highly robust and reliable in industrial environments where motors, servos, frequency inverters, and even mobile phones, provide many sources of interference.

All CPU and power cards are coated to prevent short circuits due to condensation, and critical components are glued to provide further protection in demanding environments. The gluing process also increases the vibration tolerance of e.g. the display contacts, thus further increasing the general reliability of the operator panels.
